Who are the CHEN Chargers?
Since 1988, the Christian Homeschool Educators Network (CHEN) has given homeschool athletes from central Maryland a chance to participate in varsity and junior varsity sports. CHEN is based in Howard County, in the Columbia/Ellicott City area, but we have players from throughout the greater Baltimore / Washington, D.C. area. CHEN currently offers baseball and boys soccer, but has offered other sports in the past and is open to adding more sports if interest is there. Students who attend a traditional school without a team are also welcome to try out.

CHEN competes against private schools in the greater Baltimore/Washington, D.C. Metro area. Our home games are played on the beautiful turf fields of Blandair Regional Park, in Columbia, MD.

How to Join
Tryouts are typically in the fall for the following spring season, please contact us for more information or to be added to our mailing list for future tryouts. Students in grades 8-12 are eligible to try out for a spot on the team. If there is enough interest in a given season, we will field both a JV and a Varsity team.
